Art 4 Houses is able to take requests of any scene or portrait that you would like painted. This is possible because access is available to just about any type of artist, be they artists that specialize in portraits, seacapes, sports, country scenes, still life, floral, etc.

You can also choose the style that the painting is to be painted in, for example a picture of, lets say, a dog done in a fine art style where the painting is very detailed and realistic, or in a contemporary style where the painting has more heavy brush strokes and has less distinct detail. The two styles are very different. With the fine art style the painting looks very much like a photograph no matter the distance. The more contemporary style makes it seem that the painting changes depending on how far or near you are to it; the closer you are the less distinct it becomes and starts to reveal the individual brush strokes or technique used. Likewise, the further away you are the more realistic it becomes.

The turnaround time for custom artwork depends on a few factors, namely the size and style of painting. The more contemporary the style of painting, the longer it takes to dry as there is more oil put on the canvass to give that textured feel. To give a ballpark figure for a 36 x 24 painting, the turnaround time would be around one month, maybe less. For larger paintings the turnaround time would be between one to three months.

To enable you to take advantage of this service you will need to email either a high quality photograph (preferably in TIFF format) or, if it is something you have found in a magazine or other similar media, then the page with the image on it. This is so that the original colors are reproduced correctly. Ideally it would be best to send the media by regular mail. This way there will be very little loss in terms of color and quality in the painting.

The prices for a custom piece of art starts at around $300 for a 36 x 24 canvas. Satisfaction is guaranteed and though credit card details will be taken at the time of the order this will not be processed until you have received, by email, an image of the painting. If after you pay for it and receive it you find that you do not like it for any reason, you can return it for a full refund less the cost of shipping, as long as it is in the condition that you received it in. Paintings damaged through no fault of Art 4 Houses will not be accepted. Paintings damaged in transit will be accepted for a refund as long as a report is written and sent back with it. Your money will then be refunded, and the written report will be used to claim back the cost of the painting from the carrier. This policy may change in the future.
